Overview

Alice in New York A gritty, surreal reimagining of a classic tale, soaked in neon shadows and whispered vengeance on the streets of a city that forgot how to dream.

Fourteen-year-old Alice walks a tightrope between childhood and survival in the dark, twisted maze of New York City. After the brutal murder of her father and her own violation at the hands of the White Rabbit—a corrupt, coke dusted, sadistic lawyer who slithers through courtrooms with blood on his hands—Alice’s world collapses into a spiraling fight for justice, revenge, and escape.

Her sister is trapped in The Garden, a velvet-drenched strip club run by the infamous Mother Rose, a high-heeled, iron-hearted pimp who calls her girls “Flowers” and grows them in glass and gold cages. Alice needs money—enough to free her sister and disappear into the green countryside, far from the city’s rot.

In a back alley, she meets The Grub, a cracked-out mystic perched on a barrel, who “flies to the motherland” when he smokes from his pipe. He tells Alice she has a choice—a knife on the left, cash on the right—but his words are tangled, his mind burned, and his screams echo in her memory as he collapses into unconsciousness.

Amidst this madness, Alice befriends Luise the Cat, a sharp-tongued, streetwise boy her age with wild eyes and a crooked grin. A master con artist and trickster, Luise navigates the chaos of the streets with deceptive ease. Behind his clever schemes lies a tragic home: a mentally ill mother, an alcoholic and violent father, and six siblings, three older and two younger, whom he tries to protect. He laughs in the face of danger, and when things get too quiet, he’ll murmur with a dead stare, “We are all mad here.”

As Alice dives deeper into the city’s nightmare, she uncovers more danger. The White Rabbit is never alone—The Twins, his towering, stone-faced bodyguards, haunt his every move. Killing him won’t be easy. Getting out alive might be impossible.

But Alice is done playing by the rules.

Alice in New York is a violent, poetic plunge through broken innocence and streetlit survival. A coming-of-age revenge odyssey where trust is a gamble, love is survival, and everyone’s a little mad in their own way.
